Cuthbert’s Tea Shoppe is the place where visitors to the Dickens Christmas Fair can come and enjoy a nice pot of tea, scones, tea sandwiches and delightful desserts in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Victorian London.

Patrons do not need reservations to enjoy tea, but without them, there is a possibility that they may not get in to the shoppe due to its popularity.

There are several ways to partake of tea at the shoppe – by ordering items from the menu á la carte or by ordering the Afternoon Tea combination which includes a tea pot to take home. In addition, every day at 4:00 pm we present High Tea. High Tea has a fixed menu and also includes a tea pot to take home.

Reservations may be made at the Dickens Fair on the same day as your visit by coming to the shoppe and checking with the hostess to see if there is space available.

Due to public demand, we are now offering on-line reservations so patrons of the Fair can make a reservation for tea in advance of their visit. Guests who make an on-line reservation are seated in our new Solarium dining area –– which serves High Tea four times each day. Guests receive the same fixed menu as the High Tea in the main dining room and also receive a tea pot to take home. Seating is family style and is limited. Times for these seatings are at 11:45am, 1:00pm, 2:15 and 4:00 daily. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance of your visit to the Dickens Fair. We cannot accommodate same day on-line reservations.

When you make your reservation you will have the option of either paying for your entire tea in advance, or to leave a $5.00 per person non-refundable deposit. If you choose the deposit option, the $5.00 will be applied to your final bill. If you chose to pay for tea in advance and you need to cancel or change your reservation, you can either transfer to a different seating time, if available, or you will be able to receive a refund of all but $5.00 of your advance payment.

Check in for on-line reservations begin 15 minutes prior to seating times and will be held for 10 minutes after. Please come to the Solarium door to be seated by your hostess.
